Administrative Letter 22-06                            

Dear Provider,

This letter is to advise you of a change in HIPAA codes when billing for Professional Indirect Services (Time) provided to Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) waiver service recipients who receive Non-Federal Medical authorizations.  Due to an audit conducted at the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, DDS has been informed of the necessity to change billing codes as follows:

As reflected above, the change will become effective 11-01-21.  Developmental Disabilities Services will end-date all existing authorizations 10-31-21.  You will receive an automated notice when this action occurs.  After this action, the DDS Provider Support Center will contact each of you to determine how many units should be moved to a new authorization beginning 11-01-21, for the balance of the service recipient's plan of care year.  Upon receipt of this letter, please begin review of your current authorizations and determine how many units should be moved.  This will expedite the process when you're contacted by the DDS Provider Support Center.
