Administrative Letter 19-03

Dear Provider,

This is to advise you of a change in HIPAA codes when billing for Family Training services provided to Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) waiver service recipients.  Due to an audit conducted at the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, DDS has been informed of the necessity to change billing codes as follows:

As reflected in the above chart, the change in codes will become effective 12-01-18.  Developmental Disabilities Services will end-date all existing authorizations 11-30-18.  You will receive an automated notice when this action occurs.  After this action, the DDS Provider Support Center will contact each of you to determine how many units should be moved to a new authorization beginning 12-01-18, for the balance of the service recipient's plan of care year.  Upon receipt of this letter, please begin review of your current authorizations and determine how many units should be moved.  This will expedite the process when you're contacted by the DDS Provider Support Center.
