Administrative Letter 19-15

Dear Provider,

Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) approved corrections to the DDS Agency Companion services procedure codes to reflect procedure code reassignment and current authorization practice.  Procedure code S5136 (Companion Care, adult; per diem) was determined to be incorrectly assigned for the age group served (it has been used for services for children).  S5126 (Attendant care services; per diem) has been revised to reflect current levels of Agency Companion services provided.  The service revisions/procedure code reassignments are below and are effective July 1, 2019:

New Authorizations will only be issued on State Funded ("MC" numbers) services.  The DDS Provider Support Center is working to adjust authorizations for services to be provided on or after July 1, 2019. We are hopeful all authorizations can be adjusted within 2 to 3 weeks.  We will keep you informed as we work through this process.  The DDS Provider Support Center is a good resource if you need further information or assistance.  The support center may be contacted as follows:
