Dear Provider,
Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) received approval from The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for daily respite rate increases made possible by HB 3708. The rates were adjusted to include a room and board payment. In addition, a new service, Respite in Agency Companion (Contractor) – Pervasive was added. These increases were effective October 4, 2018. Since daily respite is provided outside of the service recipient's home, the room and board payment included in the rate ($22) must be paid to the person who provides the respite service. The new rates are outlined below.
