Dear Provider:
This is to advise that you may receive a letter and a visit from the Oklahoma Disability Law Center (ODLC) if you are the employer and representative payee for some of the individuals you serve.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) has chosen the federally mandated national Protection and Advocacy System, which includes the Oklahoma Disability Law Center, to be its partner in assuring beneficiaries who have a representative payee who are also the beneficiary’s employer are receiving adequate services and supports. SSA has asked the ODLC to assist them in checking on the welfare of certain beneficiaries who have a representative payee.
If the ODLC plans to visit your agency, you will receive a letter from them with contact information for questions. If you have any concerns regarding these visits, please do not hesitate to contact Sheree Powell, DDSD, at (405) 521-4972.
Sincerely,
James M. Nicholson, Director
Developmental Disabilities Services Division
