Dear Homemaker Provider:

 
RE: Rate increase

 
Effective July 1, 2009, the rate for DDSD Homemaker services will be increased to $2.25 per 15-minutes.  New service authorizations (“PB” numbers) will not be issued for DDSD waiver services for procedure code S5130 or S5150.  Please update your billing process to reflect the rate increase for services provided on or after July 1, 2009.  Any billings submitted for services at the previous rate on or after the effective date of the increase will be paid at the lower rate.

For state funded homemaker services, new service authorizations (“MC” numbers) will be issued at the new rate for services.  Providers will be sent the new authorizations as soon as they are issued.
