Subject:Oklahoma Long-Term Care Services and Supports Advisory Committee Report
HB3289 was signed into law in May 2018, creating the Oklahoma Long-Term Care Services and Supports Advisory Committee (OLTCSS). The new law directed OLTCSS to develop a long range plan for long-term care services and supports, to assess the financial impact of these services, and to create a long-range plan for stable, sustainable funding to support these services in Oklahoma now and in the future.
Over the course of the past year, the OLTCSS has developed a comprehensive report evaluating the needs of Oklahoma’s seniors, the services available, the services needed, and the barriers to service. The OLTCSS has also examined possible solutions, including investing new funding for various home and community-based services options.
