Today as we celebrate our 2nd Anniversary in the Harmony system we want to take time to reflect on where we have been and where we are going. While we know it has not always been smooth sailing, we are very proud of where we are today and what our future brings. The accomplishments achieved to date would not have been possible without the dedication and perseverance of our provider partners. We thank you for your continued support and feedback as we work together towards ongoing system improvements to better serve our fellow Oklahomans.

Where we have been

  • Harmony was updated to a new version with fixes and enhancements in March 2020
  • Harmony Library Site was introduced in August 2020
  • A focus group of provider representatives was created and continues to meet on a monthly basis to give feedback on system issues/improvements
  • Provider Application process has gone from a paper process on an annual basis to a quarterly basis in the Harmony System
  • Service Plan Authorization (SPA) timeframes have gone from a high of a 23 day turn around on 2/26/2019 to a 4 day turn around at present
  • Since March of 2020, both internal DHS and provider agencies have been able to continue to provide services, in large part virtually, due to the COVID 19 global pandemic
  • Mail received on 8/16/2018 prior to Harmony transition

Where we are going

We already have big plans for year three. The following are a few updates/changes that users can anticipate for 2020/2021. 

  • Update and reinstatement of Plan Validation Rules
  • Implementation of Member Portal
  • Implementation of Online Application (UCAT I)
  • Transition DHS Eligibility Nurses from ELDERS to Harmony
  • Move to an updated version of Harmony (minimum of 2x's per year)
  • Finalize Claims Process in Harmony (optional for Non-EVV Providers)
  • Continue to rollout new reports and enhance existing reports
  • Continue to review and revise processes

Fun facts as of 8/24/2020

  • There were 580,374 authorizations in the Harmony System
  • There have been a total of 69,063 PQ tickets completed in the Harmony System
  • There were 1481 active users in the Harmony System
  • SPA processes an average of 300 service plan reviews per day in the Harmony System
  • 17,886 active ADvantage Members and 2,521 active SPPC Members are in the Harmony System
  • An average of 857 Prior Authorizations (PA) are sent to OHCA each day (Mon-Fri) with an average of 11 of those authorizations coming back with an error
