Subject: Required MSU CQI Manager Professional Development

The Provider agency Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Manager is responsible to lead the agency in quality improvement.  ADvantage will be providing ongoing professional development for CQI Managers.  These professional development sessions will focus on providing tools and skills toward meeting goals, as well as developing networking between Providers.

The first MSU CQI Professional Development Session Webinar will be held Monday, August 23, 2021, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.  CQI Managers should register for this session using the link below.

Effective January 1st, 2021, it became mandatory for every case management, home care, assisted living, adult day health, and hospice Provider to have a designated CQI Manager. The designated CQI Manager (or the Backup CQI Manager) for each Provider agency providing direct care services to Members is required to attend each CQI Manager Professional Development virtual session. CQI Manager participation in the MSU CQI Professional Development sessions is required for the Provider agency to remain on the Certified Agencies Report (CAR). 

The CQI Manager Professional Development series will focus on equipping each Provider agency CQI Manager with the tools and skills to perform excellent quality assurance. The virtual sessions will focus on topics to include:

·      CQI Manager Role and Responsibilities

·      Management of Provider CQI Plan

·      Professional Development of Provider Personnel

·      Monitoring and Evaluation of Processes and Performance

·      Process Improvement Strategies

·      Person-Centered Thinking, Effective Communication, Effectual Teamwork

Required Qualifications for ADvantage Case Management Supervisor, Case Management Backup Supervisor, and Continuous Quality Improvement Manager
