Subject:Plan Dates due to Leap Year
To keep all services plans within the 365 day certification timeframe with leap year in 2020 the following will need to be followed when creating plans.
- All plans with a start date of 3/1/2019 through 2/29/2020 will have an end date 2 days prior to the start date +1 year.
- Example 3/1/2019 to 2/29/2020 or 4/10/2019 to 4/8/2020
- Starting with plans 3/1/2020 forward will go back to using an end date of 1 day prior to the start date +1 year.
- Example 3/2/2020 to 3/1/2021
On ADvantage a helpful and clear indication that an End Date of the plan and services is incorrect is if the T1016 units total 176 units or S5170 totals 366. Another indicator of an incorrect end date would be if the Number of Periods field is greater than 1, which it should never be.
Attached is a spreadsheet to use to help guide with selecting dates.
**As a reminder plan dates should follow right after each other. There should not be a gap or an overlap in dates on the plan dates.
