Subject:Provider Compliance Capability Information
Section 12006 of the 21st Century Cures act requires the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system to electronically verify, with respect to in-home visits conducted as part of personal care services or home health care services, the following:
1) the type of service performed;
2) the individual receiving the service;
3) the date of the service;
4) the location of service delivery;
5) the individual providing the service; and
6) the time the service begins and ends
The Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) requires the information above to be gathered through an EVV Product using either a landline telephone or a GPS-enabled mobile app.
In order to determine basic Member compliance capability metrics, we are requiring all Case Managers and SPPC Home Care Providers to complete the Member Demographic Additional Information form fields listed below in either the 'Provider Plus' or 'Provider Prime' role.These fields provide information on the EVV Device used to capture the required data elements (or lack thereof), whether there is a Live in Paid Caregiver (check if yes), and the Member's Residence Type.These fields are located on the 'Members chapter > 'Demographics' tab.
TIMEFRAME FOR COMPLIANCE
This information must be added at each Member's next monthly monitoring contact. As all Members are required to be contacted monthly, the due date for entering this information is February 29, 2020.
We are requesting all SPPC providers make phone contact with their Members to obtain the requested information. If needed, PCAs may obtain the information on behalf of the agency. Information must then be entered into Harmony by staff having either the 'Provider Plus' or 'Provider Prime' role. As most members receiving SPPC services are seen at least monthly by the provider, the due date for entering this information is February 29, 2020.
- In the Member's record, navigate to the 'Demographics' tab.
- Hover over ‘Edit’ at the top of the screen, then click on the ‘Edit Demographics’ drop down.
- Scroll down to the 'Additional Information' section and complete these three (3) form fields:
At the time this information is added to Harmony, please ensure the Member’s address and telephone number are up-to-date.
