Rate Conversion Update and Email Issues

As you are aware, specified rates for the ADvantage program were increased as of November 1, 2012.  The AAU provided communications regarding these rates change with specific directions on how to avoid unnecessary delays.  With any change, systems must be updated and we are working through issues to maintain business workflow as usual. 


Member services remain paramount and we appreciate your patience and efforts to ensure the health & safety of our ADvantage members.  Additionally, the AAU aims to not disrupt the business processes and workflow of our Provider Agencies during this complex rates conversion. 

On October 25, 2012, AAU distributed a bulletin to all ADvantage Providers referencing the buffer of 25 units of Case Management to remain on the ending of the T1016 line, please note that there was a change in that original number of units.   Instead, a maximum of 80 units of T1016 were added to the ending service line with an ending date of 10/31/2012.  By adding the 80 additional units, your agency should not experience unnecessary delays in billing for services previously documented and provided.

Action Needed by the CM regarding ADvantage Rates Change:

  • T1016
    If the new T1016 line has a remaining balance of zero units, an addendum will be required to add additional units to the Members Service Plan. In the event you have utilized all of the authorized Case Management units, you may then submit an addendum to request additional units.  Please be specific on your addendum to identify why the additional units are requested to allow for prompt processing.
  • T1019 and T1019 TF
    Please continue to make adjustments as needed throughout the plan year. In the event you have utilized all of your T1019/T1019 TF units near the end of the Plan year, an addendum will be required to add additional units to the Members Service Plan.
  • Deadline for This Action
    Should you require additional units for T1016, T1019 and T1019 TF the addendum is required to be submitted within 30 days prior to the end of the Members Service Plan.

Provider Question Issues
