AAU Provider Update: Faxing All New Cases

Beginning Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, the AAU will begin faxing all new cases to include UCAT I, UCAT III, and the Matrix to the Case Management agency chosen by the member. Faxing the new case will take the place of sending the new case packet by US postal service to the CM agency. We anticipate that this will expedite the arrival of the new case packet, allowing services to begin earlier for the member. You will continue to receive the 6g, as usual, authorizing initial Case Management and RN Assessment units, by fax, so that you may complete the IDT.

Should the fax received be incomplete or there is a clarity issue, please contact Provider Questions  advising us of the specific issue and we will correct the problem. Additionally, if you anticipate issues with your fax system due to the volume of faxing that your agency may receive, please contact us and we can set up a time frame that would allow you some latitude before implementation.
