ADvantage Administration Unit Update: Service Standards Change for Employee Minimum Qualifications for ADvantage Case Management

Below please find the new provisions that will go into effect May 1, 2010 regarding Service Standards for Employee Minimum Qualifications ADvantage Case Management.  These provisions will replace the current provisions found in Service Standards, July 2007 edition, page 8 of 52.

Employee Minimum Qualifications ADvantage Case Management

ADvantage Case Manager (required)

The minimum qualifications for Case Managers are:

  1. RN with one year paid professional experience; or
  2. LPN with one year paid professional experience; or
  3. Baccalaureate degree and one year *paid professional experience with the aging or disabled population obtained before or after receipt of degree.
    *Paid professional experience may include, but is not limited to:  CNA, CMA, CHHA and PCA experience; and
  4. A minimum of one week of orientation to the agencies policies and procedures to include shadowing a certified Case Manager in the field.  (Documentation form is due to the AAU before the CM Training date)
