Subject:  Dental Services for Medicaid Recipients

As of July 1, 2021, Oklahoma Medicaid – SoonerCare – has begun providing limited dental services for adult Medicaid recipients, which includes ADvantage waiver and SPPC Members.

Oklahoma Medicaid is sending letters to all Medicaid recipients advising of this expanded State Plan benefit and clarifying there will be no co-pay for dental services.  In general, coverage includes Preventive Services (dental cleanings and fluoride), Restorative Services (silver and tooth-colored fillings), Full and Partial Dentures and Extractions.  Items not covered under the expanded benefit include root canals and crowns.
