Friday, October 10, 2025

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct.10, 2025) – Oklahoma Human Services recently celebrated the opening of its new Human Services Center in Custer County with a ribbon cutting and tour of the facility.

Built with first contact resolution in mind, the center will serve as a beacon of hope for Oklahomans in need of services ranging from food benefits, child support assistance, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and more. Human Services Centers employees can determine eligibility, distribute benefits, and administer agency programs efficiently and effectively within one appointment.

“Oklahoma Human Services is committed to delivering high-quality services to all residents of the state,” said Oklahoma Human Services Director Jeffrey Cartmell. “We are honored to broaden our footprint in Custer County, enhancing support and fostering deeper collaboration within the community.”

Since 2023 Oklahoma Human Services has strategically worked to provide more trauma-informed and user-friendly spaces in communities across the state. The agency’s “Service First” strategy aims to create more equitable and compassionate interactions, reaching vulnerable populations while addressing high occupancy costs.

Agency employees and community leaders gathered at the facility located at 620 Frisco Ave. in Clinton on Thursday, Oct. 9 for a first look at the 5,619 square-foot-building. Doors officially opened to the public at 8 a.m. on Oct. 10.
