“We are incredibly grateful to be able to offer services and support to this community in partnership with the local county Health Department and Chickasaw Nation,” said Deb Smith, Deputy Director for Oklahoma Human Services. “Like our brick-and-mortar offices across the state, our mobile offices seek to provide help and hope to community members when they need us. These important services are designed to strengthen and support families, and our work makes much deeper impacts for families when we also stand in unison with our sister and community agencies. We are excited to serve the residents of Sulphur together!”

Partnership is at the core of this resource event where clients can find a wide range of services all in one place.

“Our mobile wellness units are designed to meet our community where they are,” said Chris Munn, Regional Administrative Director for the District 8 County Health Departments. “This event is extra special since we are partnering with Oklahoma Human Services and Chickasaw Nation to offer a variety of services to individuals.”

No matter the specific need, this event seeks to provide Health and Hope to the area’s residents.

“The ‘Health and Hope on Wheels’ partnership event aims to deliver essential health services and resources directly to the community, promoting health and wellness through a holistic approach,” Sheryl Goodson, Chickasaw Nation Executive Officer of Primary Care and Public Health, said. “This event exemplifies the Chickasaw Nation's commitment to enhancing the well-being of its citizens and community members. The partnership is crucial as it leverages the combined strengths of the Chickasaw Nation, state, and county agencies, enabling a broader reach and more comprehensive service delivery to the community.”

Again, no appointment is necessary. Services will be provided to clients on a first come, first served basis with ample seating and shade available for waiting clients. Most visits will take one hour or less, plus wait time.
