OKLAHOMA CITY (April 17, 2023) — The Oklahoma Human Services Developmental Disabilities Services division (DDS) is hosting a virtual regional meeting as more Oklahoma families transition off the waitlist.
It is designed to help families coming off the waitlist learn about the process of how they will access services, unite with DDS and Liberty Health staff to address questions, gain resources to connect with providers, and reimagine what the future holds and work towards making it a reality.
“We continue to find ways to innovate and reach families on the waitlist,” said DDS Division Director Beth Scrutchins. “The virtual meeting allows families to participate from anywhere to learn more about the process and what kinds of options Oklahoma Human Services offers.”
The meeting takes place on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for families who applied for DDS services between April 2012 and January 2016.
Registration is required and the meeting is free. Families who have attended previous meetings can register to attend. The deadline to register is April 21.
To register, families can call 844-944-9301 or visit bit.ly/dds-possable.
If a family who applied for DDS services between April 2012 and January 2016 did not receive an invitation, contact information can be updated at https://oklahoma.gov/okdhs/services/dd/ddswl.html.
If your name is in a later group, you will be notified of meetings in the future when your group comes up for services. If you are uncertain of your application date, please contact DDS.Waitlist@okdhs.org or call 405-521-6268.
