Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS) is requesting proposals from nonprofits providing youth supports across the state, including both urban and rural areas, to collaboratively serve low-income families. This RFP comes as the agency launches the second round of funding for its Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) investment strategy aimed at aligning the work of the State and private partners to more deeply serve local communities.

“Innovation lives and multiplies in deep collaboration and OKDHS knows we can serve our communities in greater ways when we listen to and work alongside partners who are also dedicated to propelling their neighbors in need toward success,” said Secretary of Human Services, Justin Brown. “The collaborative partnerships we are developing through this investment strategy break barriers and forge pathways to create local solutions for local needs. With this latest focus on youth supports, we look forward to more private partners joining us in a shared mission to spread hope across Oklahoma.”

The solicitation for youth supports can be found on the Oklahoma Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) Central Purchasing website. Interested parties should submit their proposal no later than June 20, 2022. Nonprofits who are awarded funding will have three years to spend the dollars and will be provided with technical assistance and supports.

“Oklahoma nonprofit organizations are at the forefront of meeting people where they are and providing the resources and services needed to move families forward,” said Mary Kate Wilson, President, Southern Oklahoma Memorial Foundation and Community Foundation of Ardmore. “Funding programs that support Oklahoma’s youth, assisting them in navigating all of the complex issues they face and equipping them with the knowledge and resources to reach their potential is a wise investment in Oklahoma’s future.”
