OKLAHOMA CITY (May 27, 2021) – Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS) seeks public input to construct the agency’s 2022 – 2024 Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) program plan to be administered from Oct. 2021 through Sept. 2024.

“Our state plan guides our work to ensure all Oklahomans have access to safe, high-quality child care across the state,” said OKDHS Child Care Director, Brittany Lee. “Including the voices of Oklahoma parents, licensed child care providers, child care facility teachers, early childhood care and education professionals, faith-based and community partners and community members not only makes our plan stronger, it also helps us ensure that this is a plan to serve everyone’s needs.”

Child Care Services develops a State Plan every three years that details how federal CCDF block grant funds will be used for child care in Oklahoma, as well as provide information about child care services offered statewide, methods of access to the child care system, plans for improving the quality of child care, and health and safety requirements for licensed child care programs. Feedback from the public commenting period to close June 17, 2021 will be included in the State Plan for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2022-2024. A draft of the State Plan is posted on the OKDHS Child Care Services webpage for review prior to the virtual public hearing scheduled for June 14, 2021. Further details on the virtual public hearing will be forthcoming.
