The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) is hosting a foster care information night on April 6, 2017 at the Okmulgee Public Library, 218 South Okmulgee Ave, Okmulgee, Oklahoma from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

The purpose of the event is to help people to find out more information on how they can become a foster or adoptive parent and other ways they can help a child in need.

There are approximately 9,500 children in state custody. DHS needs the help of local communities to care for these children. They need foster families to love and support them and to help them thrive.

For more information about the event, please contact the local DHS foster care recruiter: Heather Huff at (918) 746-3356 or email Heather.Huff@okdhs.org.
