DHS and Martin Nature Park to host ‘Take a Child Outside’ Event

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) and Martin Park Nature Center are hosting the ‘Take a Child Outside’ celebration on Sept. 24, 2016 at Martin Park Nature Center, 5000 W. Memorial Road in Oklahoma City, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event celebrates nature and includes a scavenger hunt and hiking sponsored by Backwoods. DHS is sponsoring outdoor family games and providing information on outdoor safety.

Whole Foods Market will donate snacks for children and families and DHS staff will be available to provide information about the need for more foster and adoptive families in Oklahoma.
