OKLAHOMA CITY -- TFI Family Connections - one of the private foster care agencies contracted by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) - has received a $1,100 grant from the Wyle Corporation CAS Group to help foster families in Lawton.

The money was donated by Wyle Corporation employees participating in the company's CAS Cares Initiative and will be used to assist foster families involved with TFI's "Project Wait No More." The project focuses on providing safe, reliable foster care for children and youth in southwest Oklahoma.

TFI Family Connections is a private, nonprofit organization that contracts with DHS to provide services and care for foster families.

"As a partner with DHS, we help support families throughout the foster care approval process, during placement and care of children in foster homes, and help provide an understanding of the child welfare system," said TFI Executive Director Rachelle Roosevelt. "Project Wait No More will help us increase our foster home base in southwestern Oklahoma and improve our existing support services."

TFI is headquartered in Kansas but has Oklahoma offices in Ada, Bartlesville, Broken Arrow, Cushing, Enid, Lawton, Seminole, and Yukon.

"TFI is an important partner in our mission to provide safe foster care for children," said DHS Bridge Deputy Director Tricia Howell. "It is encouraging to know that our partners receive this kind of support from community organizations that are dedicated to helping foster children and youth in our state."
