DHS names Norman resident Paulette Bushers new Program Manager

Oklahoma City -- The Department of Human Services (DHS) Adult and Family Services division has named Paulette Bushers as the new Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program Manager.

Bushers began her DHS career in the McCurtain County office in 1997, initially working in the TANF program. During her tenure in McCurtain County, Bushers also managed caseloads with SNAP, IV-E,  Aged, Blind & Disabled, and Long Term Care.

In 2005, she began serving the Southeastern most counties of Oklahoma as a Career Development Specialist in McCurtain, Choctaw and Pushmataha counties. In 2008, Bushers was promoted to the TANF Unit in the State Office as a Program Field Representative where she currently oversees the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative and supervises eight career development specialist positions in eastern Oklahoma.


Bushers is a 1996 graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. She currently lives in Norman with her 14-year old son Jarrett.
