Oklahoma City -- The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) announces the promotion of Rene’ Flippen to County Director for District 20.  That district includes Marshall, Johnston, and Murray counties in southern Oklahoma.

Flippen began her career with DHS in 1990 in Stephens county.  In 2007 she was promoted to Adult and Family Services (AFS) supervisor in Jefferson and Stephens counties, supervising comprehensive AFS workers.

She has a degree in criminal justice, with a minor in social work from East Central University in Ada.  Flippen is married and has one daughter and one step son.

“I am looking forward to this new chapter in my career and am anxious to integrate into the Marshall, Murray and Johnston county area,” Flippen said.

She replaces Jan Stowers who is retiring as county director.
