DHS Aging Services seeks nominations for Achievement in Aging awards

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) Aging Services is seeking nominations for the 2015 Achievement in Aging Awards. Nominations will be accepted until Jan. 30.
Winners will be recognized for their contributions in support of older Oklahomans during the 40th Annual Oklahoma Conference on Aging held May 5-7 at the Embassy Suites Norman Hotel and Conference Center.
Award categories are Aging Network Partner of the Year, Advocate of the Year, Business Partner of the Year, Lifetime Achievement (Individual), Media Partner of the Year, Professional of the Year, Program of the Year, Individual Volunteer of the Year and Volunteers of the Year.
Nominees should have demonstrated at least one of the following in support of seniors: improved and enhanced the quality of life and quality end-of-life; developed innovative and creative methods to promote and improve health and independence; involved others in efforts to make a positive impact; or served as a change agent for improvement or expansion of services and programs.
