OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) will recognize “Foster Care Day at the Capitol,” from 9:30 to 1:00 p.m. Tues. May 6 at the state Capitol in Oklahoma City.

May is National Foster Care Month, and the DHS will join the Foster Care and Adoptive Association  (FCAO) to let legislators know the importance of foster care and adoption in Oklahoma.  Booths will be available in the second floor rotunda, and Governor Mary Fallin is expected to speak at 11 a.m. in the Blue Room.

Those attending are encouraged to wear blue, or a blue ribbon, in honor of National Foster Care Month.
