OKLAHOMA CITY – Child support customers will soon have a convenient new way to pay thanks to an agreement between BancFirst and Oklahoma Child Support Services (OCSS).

Beginning Aug. 1, parents needing to make an Oklahoma child support payment can walk into any BancFirst location and, for a $5 bank fee, submit a cash payment. Walk-ins will be accepted at any BancFirst location.

Parents needing to cash their payroll check to make a child support payment can use the ICan check cashing program available at most BancFirst locations. ICan check cashing carries a separate fee determined at the time the check is presented. Parents may also obtain a cash advance on their credit card or debit card to make their child support payments. Visit your nearest BancFirst location for details.

The agreement between BancFirst and Oklahoma Child Support Services is at no cost to taxpayers. BancFirst is Oklahoma’s largest state-chartered bank with more than 100 service locations in more than 50 Oklahoma communities. More than half of all OCSS locations have at least one BancFirst branch nearby.

“The BancFirst payment option is the latest of many ways non-custodial parents can choose to make their court-ordered child support payments,” according to Jeff Wagner, a spokesperson for OCSS. “This agreement is just one of a number of initiatives OCSS has been putting in place to improve choice and convenience for the more than 200,000 families we serve.”

“We are pleased to be a partner with the state of Oklahoma. The OCSS relationship, our most recent partnership with the state, is one example of BancFirst’s ability to leverage our Oklahoma network of banking locations to serve the state and bring value to the citizens of Oklahoma,” said Blane Allen, Senior Vice President of Financial Services for BancFirst.

Oklahoma Child Support Services is a division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. To promote healthy families, OCSS establishes, monitors and enforces reliable support while encouraging self-sufficiency and strengthening relationships. The division is responsible for more than 203,000 active child support cases, collecting more than $359 million in the last year on behalf of children and families.
