OKLAHOMA CITY -- Ginger Norton, Greer County social worker for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS), was recently honored at the DHS Quality Awards luncheon in Oklahoma City. Norton was selected as one of the Best of the Best at DHS for 2013. She was nominated for the award by her supervisor, Holly Fite.

"Ginger is an excellent employee and maintains high standards of integrity with clients and coworkers," says Fite. "She is outgoing and helps other staff members whenever needed. She also helps with the Toys for Tots program each year to help children in Greer County. Ginger is truly an asset to DHS and to her community."

Norton began her career with DHS as a child welfare caseworker in 2004 and became a comprehensive social worker in 2008. She and her husband live in Mangum, Oklahoma.
