OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) will host the 2013 Women's Leadership Conference on Sept. 27 at the Reed Conference Center, 5750 Will Rogers Road in Midwest City from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All women in public service are invited to attend.
The conference will provide a venue for women across the state to inspire and motivate one another through their work, their ability to engage their communities, and their efforts to strengthen relationships in the workplace and with the people they serve.
Featured speakers include Paula Marshall, CEO of Bama Companies; DHS Director Ed Lake; Major General Rita Aragon, Oklahoma Secretary of Military and Veterans Affairs; Terri White, Commissioner of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services; and Dr. Murali Krishna, President and Chief Operating Officer of Integris Mental Health.
Break-out sessions during the conference will include information on how to develop career advancement strategies for executive management, how to become a more effective and supportive manager, how to build stronger networks of support in state government, and how to build basic skills for administrative professionals.
