Oklahoma Capitol—The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) has received a 12-month federal planning grant in excess of $1.1 million.  The grant comes from the Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families (HHS/ACF).

Congressman James Lankford and Senator Jim Inhoffe notified OKDHS October 3.  The Oklahoma Collaborative Project will improve integration in eligibility and enrollment across health and human services information technology systems.  The grant will support efforts to streamline out-of-date technology processes, reduce duplication of data and data entry, simplify the process for applying and retaining services for Oklahoma citizens, reduce errors, and improve communication to customers.

“Partnering with the Oklahoma Health Care Authority and the Office of Management and Enterprise Services will benefit the state,” said Preston Doerflinger, OKDHS Interim Director.  “It will also improve the customer service experience through the creation of modernized systems that benefit Medicaid and human services.”
