OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- The Cleveland County child welfare Citizens Advisory Board (CAB) will host its annual coaches luncheon on Aug. 2, 2012 at Journey Church, 3801 Journey Parkway in Norman from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The featured speaker will be OU head football coach Bob Stoops. Other members of the coaching staff will also attend and talk about OU's upcoming season. This year's luncheon will be the largest to date and includes a $10,000 donation from the Laser Spine Institute.
A live auction and raffle will be included and proceeds will benefit the "Secret Santa" and special needs programs developed by CAB. Volunteers with CAB work closely with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) to provide Christmas gifts to foster children in Cleveland County. Money raised at the event will be used to provide emergency clothing and prescription needs for foster children and to purchase school supplies and uniforms for music, dance and athletic programs.
For more information about the event or to purchase tickets, call Scott Hoffman at (405) 360-6061.
