OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- “Healing Communities” is the theme of the next Prisoner Re-entry Initiative (PRI) which will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Oklahoma City’s Crossings Community Center, 2208 W. Hefner Road.  This free forum seeks to engage faith-based organizations in the healing of people who are affected by crime, incarceration and reintegration.  It also  offers a place where the belief systems and unique strengths of the faith community are invoked, i.e., acceptance, compassion, forgiveness, redemption and restoration.

“Healing Communities” is an initiative targeting Christian organizations and is co-sponsored by the Oklahoma Partnership for Successful Reentry, Inc., Crossings Community Center, Oklahoma Department of Corrections, and the Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives.
