OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) will host the third annual Oklahoma County Resource Expo on Wednesday, June 22. It will be held at the Clarion Meridian Convention Center, 737 South Meridian Avenue in Oklahoma City from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

“The Resource Expo is a way to introduce OKDHS staff to valuable community resources and organizations so we can better serve the community at large,” said Amanda Arnold, Resource Specialist with the OKDHS Kinship Bridge Unit. “In these difficult economic times, OKDHS is always looking for ways to reduce costs and use organizations whose missions align with ours, which is to serve Oklahomans in need.”

The theme of this year’s expo is “Partnering for a Brighter Tomorrow.” More than 100 exhibitors will present information on the services they provide, the clients they serve and the criteria by which they determine eligibility. This event promotes community partnership and knowledge that benefits both agency employees and the community.

“Participants in the Resource Expo will learn and discover new ways to help their clients,” Arnold said. “It also helps them find new ways in which clients can help themselves lead safer, healthier, more independent and productive lives.”
