OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- The Oklahoma Commission for Human Services today recognized Adar Davis and other clients for overcoming obstacles and finding success through OKDHS programs. Davis was recognized during the presentation of the 2010 OKDHS annual report, during the Commission's monthly meeting in Oklahoma City.
Davis successfully worked through his court appointed liaison to get back on track in paying child support. Through the program he was able to find a dependable job and career that he enjoys and is proud of.

OKDHS Oklahoma Child Support Services employees like Michael Grant assist parents like Adar Davis every day through the Court Liaison Program by helping non-custodial parents who are facing incarceration for failure to pay child support through obtaining employment, making consistent payments and developing sound work habits. Last year, 193,000 families benefited from receiving $298 million dollars in child support collections.

The annual report was presented to the commission by Connie Schlittler, OKDHS Office of Planning, Research and Statistics director and Information Services Divisions chief information officer.

Through the 2010 Annual Report, see how Oklahoma’s families were served by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Even as the definition of family may slightly shift, the OKDHS mission does not change: to help Oklahoma’s families lead safer, healthier and more productive lives. This video documentary introduces a few of those families and tells how OKDHS is serving greater numbers of families than ever before.
