OKLAHOMA CAPITOL—Linda C. Flud, social services specialist II, is set to receive the OKDHS Commission Spirit of Service Award at 10 a.m., October 11 at the McIntosh County Human Services Center, 25 Hospital Road & Hwy 69, Eufaula.
Flud was nominated for her kindness and compassion she shows toward her clients. She takes care to determine a family’s eligibility as soon as she receives the needed information, regardless of the fact she has 30 days to process an application for services.
“She has been on the ‘other side of the desk’, and doesn’t hesitate to share her personal story to help clients who may feel uncomfortable or ashamed to seek assistance,” stated Flud’s nomination form.
The Spirit of Service Award was initiated by the Oklahoma Commission for Human Services in an effort to recognize outstanding employees or employee teams who embody customer service and exemplify excellence, respect, knowledge, resourcefulness, kindness, availability, compassion and helpfulness. Nominations are sent in by OKDHS staff for consideration by the Commission, and one team or individual is recognized in their hometown on a monthly basis.
