OKLAHOMA CAPITOL --The Oklahoma Commission for Human Services today recognized Oklahoma Department of Human Services employee Rene Flippen for her outstanding service to the citizens of Oklahoma.
Flippen, a supervisor in the Family Support Services Division, received the honor during the Commission’s monthly meeting in Oklahoma City.
The commendation was presented by Richard L. DeVaughn, DDS, chairman of the Oklahoma Commission for Human Services and Howard H. Hendrick, director of OKDHS.
Flippen helped an unresponsive client in need of medical assistance. When she arrived at the client’s home, the client did not answer the door. Upon further inspection by looking through the windows, Flippen could see the client on the floor unable to get up. With the help of the police they entered the home. Thanks to Flippen’s persistence, the client was found and transported to the hospital for treatment. Today, the client is now living safely in Texas getting the assistance she needs.
