OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- Beginning Aug. 1, certain fees will increase for Oklahoma Department of Human Services clients who use a Debit MasterCard to receive services. Clients were notified of the fee increase at the beginning of July.
The debit cards offer OKDHS clients convenience over the use of traditional paper checks. Since March, 2007 clients no longer have to wait for a check to be mailed or need a bank account to receive their money. Additionally, clients are able to use any ATM location to access their funds. Applicable fees are associated with ATM withdrawals; however the fees are typically less expensive for in-network and out-of-network usage compared to those most traditional banks charge.
Debit MasterCard transactions affected by the fee increase will be those after the allotted two free withdrawals per month, withdrawals at locations other than Bank of Oklahoma ATMs and International Transaction fees. Here are tips for using the Oklahoma Debit MasterCard.
