OKLAHOMA CAPITOL—Natalie E. Biddinger, child welfare specialist III, was the recipient today of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Commission Spirit of Service Award. Biddinger was nominated for her work in expanding the volunteer program for the OKDHS Oklahoma County 55D office.
“Natalie almost single-handedly matched 2,500 children in foster care with those donating Christmas presents,” stated Biddinger’s nomination form.
The Spirit of Service Award was initiated by the Oklahoma Commission for Human Services in an effort to recognize outstanding employees or employee teams who embody customer service and exemplify excellence, respect, knowledge, resourcefulness, kindness, availability, compassion and helpfulness. Nominations are sent in by OKDHS staff for consideration by the Commission, and one team or individual is recognized in their hometown on a monthly basis.
