OKLAHOMA CITY---The chairman of the Oklahoma Commission for Human Services has announced the cancellation of the April 27, 2010 meeting of the Commission. The main action item to be considered was a preliminary reduction to some budgets to prepare for the budget reductions required for state fiscal year 2011. The Budget Committee of the Commission met and reviewed some of the proposals but concluded that since the appropriation for 2011 has yet to be finalized, it would be best to defer even the preliminary proposals until appropriation proposals are reviewed further. Therefore, the recommendation from the Budget Committee is not complete. When the recommendation is ready for consideration, the chairman will be advised and a special meeting will be scheduled, or the recommendation will be considered at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the commission which is Thursday, May 27, 2010.
