OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- Lora “Lori” Linstead has been selected as the new 2-1-1 program director. Linstead previously worked with the statewide SmartStart program, an early childhood initiative that works to help children become safe, healthy, and ready to learn and succeed by the time they enter school.
“I am excited about the creativity and enthusiasm she will bring to the job,” said Lance Robertson, director OKDHS Aging Services Division. “She brings an impressive set of skills to Aging Services, having built community relationships, worked with the legislature and other constituents and monitored contracts.”
2-1-1 connects people with important community services and volunteer opportunities by providing information and referrals to human services for everyday needs and in times of crisis. 2-1-1 plays a key role in assisting emergency management officials during times of disaster or community emergency and serves as a conduit to disseminate current and accurate information to citizens affected by storms and other disasters, small and large.
For more information about 2-1-1, contact your local 2-1-1 Call Center by simply dialing 2-1-1 or visit the 211 Web site.
