CBS Holiday Special to Focus on Adoption

OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- “A Home for the Holidays,” is a CBS network television special that will focus on raising awareness for foster care adoptions. The special will air Tuesday, Dec. 23 from 8 to 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Oklahomans interested in learning more about adopting a foster child from Oklahoma can call (866) 612-2565.
Over the past nine years, thousands of viewers have called a toll-free number aired during the show to inquire about adoption. Each caller will speak with a local adoption professional. A survey of past viewers revealed that 11 percent of callers went on to adopt as a result of watching the show.

OKDHS requests the help of local CBS affiliates by scrolling (866) 612-2565 across the bottom of the screen during this holiday special. Oklahomans calling in will be able to learn more about adopting a child currently in foster care.
