OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- The month of November saw another record number of Oklahoma children authorized to be placed in adoptive homes.  And though the proclamation signed by the Governor recognizing November as Adoption Awareness Month in Oklahoma expires at midnight, for the more than 2,700 children with the goal of adoption, and the dedicated Oklahoma Department of Human Services adoption specialists who serve them, every month is adoption month.
To help raise awareness about the need for adoptive homes, especially for sibling groups, OKDHS would like to introduce you to 4 great siblings hoping to be placed in a loving, caring, adoptive home together.

Meet Cortney, a funny 13-year-old with a great sense of humor. Cortney is smart and loves animals. She loves to talk and gets along well with others.

Meet Katlyn, a conscientious 10-year-old. Katlyn is respectful and cooperative. She loves animals and she also loves to shop. She likes to play with her stuffed animals and video games.

Meet Michael, a quiet and reserved 9-year-old. Michael is very artistic and adapts to change easily. He likes the outdoors and riding his bike.  Michael has said he wants to be a policeman when he grows up.

Meet Jonathan, a 7-year-old and the youngest of the group. Jonathan is respectful, and eager to please. He’s a real “people person.” Jonathan likes the outdoors and playing soccer.
