OKLAHOMA CAPITOL --- Every day men and women are released from the prison system and return to society. How Oklahomans can support these former inmates to lead positive, productive lives and find resources they need is the subject of the November statewide conference.
The Oklahoma Conference on Successful Prisoner Reentry will be from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Clarion Meridian Hotel and Convention Center, 737 S. Meridian Ave., in Oklahoma City. It is sponsored by the Oklahoma Partnership for Reentry which includes the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives and the Department of Corrections. Scheduled to speak at the conference are John VanDenBerg, Ph.D., a trainer and lecturer on improving services to individuals with complex needs and their families; Tom O’Connor, Ph.D., administrator of Religious Services for the Oregon Department of Corrections; Robert Woodson, Sr., president of the National Center for Neighborhood Enterprise and Emmett Solomon, founder of the Restorative Justice Ministries Network.
Attendees will learn about the needs of released persons and the system structure of reentry, network with reintegration professionals, provide input into how their organization impacts reentry and hear personal testimonies.|

Early registration is $15, and must be postmarked on or before Oct. 20. All registration forms and fees must be received by Nov. 14 to guarantee a conference packet and lunch.
