OKLAHOMA CAPITOL --- Reta Balmain, a nine-year veteran of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, has been named Family Support Services supervisor in Adair County.
“Area V is proud to have Reta in this position,” said Area V Director Judy Ann Wyatt. “We welcome her talents and skills and wish her much success.”

Balmain began with OKDHS in 1996 in the Family Support Services Division in Medicaid eligibility and later transferred to Child Welfare. She worked in all areas of Child Welfare including serving as a supervisor. She transferred back to FSS and has been involved in numerous program areas.

Since early 2004, she has worked with several agencies to coordinate services for OKDHS clients in Cherokee County, including several medical facilities. She has also worked with the national and state Covering Kids Coalition.

Balmain said she lives by the philosophy, "Whatever the task before you may be, do it to the best of your ability and you will have no regrets."

Balmain and her husband, Johnny, have been married 19 years. They have three children, Brian, Jason and Jonathan, and five grandchildren, Dylan, Bryar, Benjamin, Cole and Kasia.
