OKLAHOMA CAPITOL --- The Oklahoma Department of Human Services Family Support Services Division will hold a public hearing on the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program state plan from 7-9 pm Aug. 3. The hearing will be held at the Will Rogers Garden Exhibition Center located at 3400 NW 36th Street, Oklahoma City.
Each year the OKDHS helps more than 80,000 low-income households in Oklahoma that have challenges paying winter and summer utility bills. As a part of administering the federal funds for the program, OKDHS holds a public hearing to ensure that the funds are being best used to meet the greatest needs of Oklahoma within the fiscal resources being made available through this federally-funded program.
A printed copy of the 35-page state plan is available at all local OKDHS human services centers.
