OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- Drew Naccarato has assumed the director position of the Data Services Division Research and Strategy unit with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
“OKDHS and DSD are very fortunate to have a person of Drew’s character and caliber on our team,” said Chief Information Officer Marq Youngblood. “He brings an excellent combination of technical and interpersonal skills, and his knowledge, wisdom, ability and expertise give us exactly what we need in the Research and Strategy role.”

Naccarato’s unit performs research in support of the technical infrastructure and develops strategies for delivery of technology solutions as well as long-term strategic planning for the Department.

“Working for the people of the State of Oklahoma is truly a blessing,” Naccarato said. “It is not every day that you can go to work and see the immediate and positive impact of what you do on a person’s life.”

Naccarato has a long history in the Information Technology industry, including a 27-year career with Fleming Companies, Inc.

Naccarato began in Topeka, Kan., as a programmer/analyst, and later progressed to senior programmer, chief programmer and senior systems analyst prior to transferring to Oklahoma City, in 1982. As a project manager, he traveled across the country leading projects in Logistics and Distribution, Finance, Procurement, Order Management and deploying their distribution system at existing warehouses as well as company acquisitions and integrations.

He was transferred back to Oklahoma City in 2001, and added responsibility for development and support of company General Merchandise distribution centers. Later, Drew was promoted to vice president of Information Technology.

Naccarato attended Emporia State University in Kansas where he graduated with honors and a Bachelors of Science in Business. He also received a programming certification and training from Automation Machine Training Center (AMTC) in Kansas City, Miss.
