OKLAHOMA CAPITOL --- The Oklahoma Department of Human Services Aging Services Division announces the letting of grant awards for federal fiscal year 2006 pursuant to the OKDHS Aging Services State Plan for administering Titles III and Title VII of the Federal Older Americans Act.
More than $25.2 million is available to support Oklahoma’s 11 Area Agencies on Aging and the myriad programs they offer, including elderly nutrition and support services and family caregiver support projects sub-granted through such area agencies.
Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements specified in the Older Americans Act of 1965, Section 305, as amended. In general, eligible applicants include established offices on aging and certain public or non-profit private agencies established for the purpose of planning and providing a broad range of services for the elderly.
The application process will include submitting a detailed Area Plan by June 30, consisting of objectives, goals, action steps, assurances, a resource allocation plan and a management plan.
