OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- OKLAHOMA CAPITOL The Oklahoma Department of Human Services Aging Services Division announced that grant awards are being let for Federal Fiscal Year 2005 pursuant to the OKDHS Aging Services State Plan for administering Titles III and VII of the Federal Older Americans Act.
Approximately $ 27.9 million are available to support Oklahoma’s 11 Area Agencies on Aging and the myriad of programs they offer such as elderly nutrition and supportive services and family caregiver support projects sub-granted through such area agencies.
Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements specified in the Older Americans Act of 1965, Section 305, as amended. In general, eligible applicants include established offices on aging and certain public or non-profit private agencies established for the purpose of planning and providing a broad range of services for the elderly.
The application process will include submitting a detailed Area Plan through June 30, 2004, which will include: objectives, goals, action steps, assurances, resource allocation plan and management plan.
