OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- The Oklahoma Department of Human Services Child Support Enforcement Division is asking for your help in bringing several of its Child Support’s Most Wanted to justice.
OKDHS Child Support Enforcement works closely with law enforcement, district attorneys and the courts to collect from individuals who have managed to avoid their parental responsibility to their children. But since the release of the Most Wanted list to the public, Child Support professionals have found a new ally in the Oklahoma news media.
“Thanks to the news media in Oklahoma raising public awareness, we’ve not only been able to find delinquent parents that have avoided us for long periods of time, but we’ve actually had them come to us,” said Roger Baker, child support investigator, OKDHS Child Support Enforcement. “At least two of the people on our last Most Wanted list saw or heard their name in the news and turned themselves in. The news media have been a great help to everyone involved in holding these people responsible for the debts they owe their children.”
Collectively, these individuals owe their children $432,610.89.
